My professional work

I am an arts and creative professional with over twenty years experience, working across cultural leadership, venue operations, and event production. My career spans local authority, independent organisations, higher education, volunteer, charitable and national cultural programmes, giving me a deep understanding of how to deliver ambitious projects that connect artists, institutions, research, and communities.

As Arts Serices Manager, I am responsible for the overall management of the Warwick District Council's Arts Section. This includes three of the district's cultural venues - the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Town Hall, and the Royal Spa Centre, which welcome over 500,000 people through their doors every year. My role is to inspire residents and visitors to the area by creating opportunities for them to participate in or attend arts activities.

Current Projects

Tappin’in began after a successful project for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Culture Programme and has since grown into an organisation dedicated to creating accessible artistic opportunities for people who may feel excluded from the arts. The focus is on breaking down barriers through joyful, inclusive art forms that nurture skills, confidence and enthusiasm in a supportive environment.

Shaped by working-class roots, Tappin’in champions co-creation, celebrates diverse stories and promotes cultural integrity while minimising environmental impact. The aim is to ensure everyone involved feels valued and empowered to make positive change within their communities through meaningful shared experiences.

The Association of British Theatre Technicians is a membership organisation, setting and upholding standards in technical excellence, safety and compliance for live performance.

It provides:
A technical helpline for your technical queries.
Ongoing training for your professional development.
Guidance on the design and operation of venues.
The Code of Practice for the Industry.
